2 Wayne State students killed in robbery attempt
Two persons identified as Wayne State University students were shot and killed during an attempted carjacking outside a Detroit nightclub early Thursday morning. The two gunmen fled after the shootings without getting the car or the woman's purse they had demanded. Police are seeking tips as to the assailants.

Kresge Foundation awards grants to help eliminate childhood lead poisoning
