Rheumatologist Patricia Dhar, M.D., invited to serve on national curriculum

The American College of Rheumatology has invited Wayne State University School of Medicine Clinical Professor of Medicine J. Patricia Dhar, M.D., to serve on its curriculum subcommittee, a working group that develops curriculum for rheumatology fellowships that all rheumatology training programs can use.

“I am very excited to be working with this group,” she said.

Dr. Dhar is director of the Rheumatology Fellowship Program at Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit and a practicing rheumatologist who also researches systemic lupus erythematosus; cardiovascular disease; cervical cancer and human papilloma virus; and pregnancy outcomes and complications.

She graduated from the School of Medicine in 1982, and completed her Internal Medicine residency at WSU in 1986, and a Rheumatology fellowship at WSU in 1989. She joined the faculty full-time in 1992, and is a fellow of the ACR.
