WDET, Wayne State University invite students to participate in a citywide discussion about the U.S. Constitution

As part of the lead up to Constitution Day, a large, printed version of the U.S. Constitution will be displayed in the atrium of the David Adamany Undergraduate Library beginning Wednesday, Sept. 15. Students will be able to fill out comment cards about how they would amend the document today — if at all — and incorporate their voices into the nation’s founding document.

The exhibit is part of the WDET Book Club, currently reading the Constitution. Comments will be added to cards with perspectives from across metro Detroit that were gathered through the book club's community engagement.

Learn more about the project at WDET.org/constitution.

The exhibit will run at the Undergraduate Library at 5155 Gullen Mall from Wednesday, Sept. 15, through Monday, Oct. 4. Constitution Day is Friday, Sept. 17.

Wayne State University Library System’s Special Collections team will also present early published versions of the U.S. Constitution and the works of Alexander Hamilton during two special sessions.

The works will be displayed on Sept. 15 from noon to 2 p.m. and on Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. to noon.
