Wayne State University Board of Governors to meet Wednesday, May 1

The Wayne State University Board of Governors will hold its next regular meeting on Wednesday, May 1, in Room BC of the McGregor Memorial Conference Center, 495 Gilmour Mall, Detroit. The Board of Governors standing committee meetings — which are open to the public — convene at 10:30 a.m. with the Academic Affairs Committee, followed by the Budget and Finance Committee at 11 a.m. The board returns for public sessions at 3 and 4 p.m.

Wayne State University’s Board of Governors is one of three university-governing bodies in Michigan (including the University of Michigan and Michigan State University) that has constitutional independence. Its members, who serve eight-year terms, are elected by voters throughout Michigan.
