Whether he’s sharing a Thanksgiving dinner with students, catching a Wayne State basketball game or meeting with alumni, Instagram provides a great way to catch a glimpse into the life of Wayne State’s 12th president.

From his very first post in 2015, Wayne State President M. Roy Wilson (@prezmrw) has made it a point to use the social media platform to engage with prospective and current students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the community.

“Instagram has been a fun and useful way to connect and share my experiences with the Warrior community,” Wilson said. “Since coming to Wayne State nearly six years ago, I continue to be impressed with our students, faculty and staff. Instagram is a great way for me to show our Warrior Strong spirit to the rest of the world.”

Aside from Instagram, Wilson recently began a presence on LinkedIn, where he will share his thoughts on higher education. Some of the topics will cover medical education, student success, graduation, enrollment, the importance of service learning and more.
