Wayne State administrators, faculty and staff will welcome students and their families to the university’s 150th academic year during the annual New Student Convocation on Aug. 29. The event will be held on campus in the Max J. Pincus Court in front of the McGregor Memorial Conference Center from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
More than 2,000 incoming students and family members are expected to attend Convocation, a longstanding WSU tradition that embraces the campus community and celebrates the upcoming school year.
Immediately following Convocation, students and their families are invited to attend FestiFall in nearby Keast Commons and Gullen Mall. FestiFall participants can enjoy a complimentary picnic lunch while getting acquainted with Wayne State’s student organizations and Learning Communities. Students will also have the opportunity to meet with faculty and deans.
