Wayne State University's police department will soon welcome a new member - a highly trained canine capable of providing the latest in explosive-detection technology. The new acquisition was made possible by a $45,000 gift from Ilitch Charities and the Detroit Tigers Foundation. Anthony Holt, WSU chief of police, recently accepted the ceremonial check during a press conference at Comerica Park.
