The Office of Multicultural Student Engagement (OMSE) invites the campus community to an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 27. Meet the staff and learn about opportunities to support multicultural initiatives at Wayne State.
Led by Leonard Savala, the OMSE is an integral part of WSU's Office of Diversity and Inclusion and serves as a point of connection for students. Its goal is to provide an inclusive climate and awareness initiatives that promote academic success for underrepresented and historically marginalized students.
In addition to providing a welcoming space for students of color, the office also is an inclusive place for students from the LGBTQ community.

The Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the Office of Multicultural Student Engagement are creating a calendar for this February's Black History Month.
If your college, department, unit or organization is having an event in celebration of Black History Month and would like to have it included on the calendar, please send either the link to your event from events.wayne.edu or the information requested below to Helena Yago, OMSE administrative assistant, at ah7748@wayne.edu. The deadline for the print calendar is Friday, Jan. 29.
