What: A panel discussion about countries seeking European Union membership, highlighting Ukraine and its current struggle with Russia. The panel will discuss whether countries seeking EU membership are motivated by hopes of quick prosperity through generous EU subsidies or whether political and economic stability and basic human rights are more important considerations.
To illuminate these issues, panelists will examine the case of Poland, which celebrates its 10th anniversary in the EU in May. Russia's opposition to the EU's expansion will also be addressed.
