Twenty of Metro Detroit’s best chefs will duke it out for the title of the city’s best burger on Saturday, Aug. 10, at the 2013 Detroit Burger Brawl.
The event, co-created and organized by WSU Adjunct Professor of Communications Elizabeth Durham-Adragna, will take place in Eastern Market and feature chefs from renowned Detroit restaurants including Green Dot Stables, Rattlesnake Club, Motor City Casino and more.
The chefs will offer samples of their own special burger blends to public brawl-goers, who will then cast a vote for the burger they believe should win top honors. A $10 donation to Gleaners Community Food Bank enters you for a chance to win a horde of prizes, including a seat at the final judge’s table.
Durham-Adragna helped create the inaugural event last year with one purpose in mind – to get people to come out and enjoy the city. “This is a great event to help show people what Detroit is all about,” she says. “There’s no better way to experience historic Eastern Market than with delicious food in hand.”
