The Wayne State University Student Senate will present its prestigious Administrator and Faculty Member of the Year awards to Corrine Webb and James Woodyard, respectively, at the Student Senate Banquet on April 30, 2013, in the McGregor Memorial Conference Center.
The Student Senate represents the student body, and the selection of Webb and Woodyard acknowledges their exceptional work with the senate throughout the year to improve student experience.
Webb will be presented with the prestigious Administrator of the Year award, which the senate awards to an exceptional administrator. Webb helped the Student Senate solve multiple initiatives throughout the year including scholarships, class scheduling and registration.
"I was very moved and gratified that the award came from students," Webb said. "Their voices are critically important, and it's essential that we listen."
Woodyard will be presented with the Faculty Member of the Year award, a prestigious award that the Student Senate awards to an exceptional faculty member. Woodyard helped the Student Senate solve multiple initiatives throughout the year through his commitment to academic senate and his professionalism in the classroom.
According to the Student Senate members, the actions of Webb and Woodyard show their dedication and determination in helping each and every Wayne State student succeed.
