For the fourth consecutive year, WDET-FM dominated the radio categories in Metro Times' "Best of Detroit" annual readers' poll. Wayne State's public radio station was honored in four categories, rounding out another year as the area's favorite.

Readers recently voted WDET-FM as the area's Best Local Radio News Station, describing it as "public radio at its best."

Ann Delisi's Essential Music program was voted Best Local Radio Music Show, and WDET host Craig Fahle took dual honors - he was named Best Local Radio Personality and his show was voted Best Local Radio News Talk Show.

"The acknowledgement in the readers' poll is particularly gratifying because its shows that WDET's listeners have given us a big spot in their hearts and minds. So much so that, when asked, will make it a point to single-out WDET's work as a good thing in their life," says J. Mikel Ellcessor, WDET's general manager.
