The College of Education is pleased and proud to announce that fourteen members of its faculty will be making presentations at the Annual Meeting of the prestigious American Educational Research Association (AERA) in Vancouver, British Columbia from April 13-17. This clearly illustrates the quality, robust nature and relevance of the research being conducted in the college.
AERA is a national research society that strives to advance knowledge about education, to encourage scholarly
inquiry related to education, and to promote the use of research to improve education and serve the public good. Founded in 1916, AERA is the largest education research association in terms of membership, which is international in scope: nearly 5 percent of members, representing over 85 countries, reside outside of the United States.
In an effort to pursue more fully its mission-and to emphasize the use of education research-at the Annual Meeting, AERA members and other participants will engage in intense dialogue on the theme "Non Satis Scire: To Know Is Not Enough." The goal is to stimulate a new dialogue about the contributions to the public good that education research can make.
