Our Warriors will be fighting for the 2011 Division II NCAA National Football Championship this Saturday, Dec. 17, in Florence, Ala. After four consecutive wins

Our Warriors will be fighting for the 2011 Division II NCAA National Football Championship this Saturday, Dec. 17, in Florence, Ala. After four consecutive wins over nationally ranked teams, our "road" Warriors take on the Pittsburg State University Gorillas from Pittsburg, Kan.

The game starts at 11 a.m. EST, 10 a.m. CST. Join us as we cheer our Warriors on to victory! The game will be broadcast on ESPN 2. You can also listen to the game on our hometown radio station, 1400 AM WDTK. Listen to the broadcast online.

Want to watch the game with fellow Warriors and Tartars? Viewing parties will be held on campus and around town for our students, faculty, staff and alumni.

Starter's Bar on Grill on Woodward Ave., just south of Warren, welcomes all Wayne State fans to come watch the national championship game.  Starter's will open at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.  Seating is on a first-come, first-serve.  No reservations are required.

Join the Dean of Students Office on campus in the Student Center North Commons for the Warrior viewing party, which starts at 10:30 a.m. Call 313-577-1010 for more information.

Join the WSU Alumni Association at Emagine Theatre in downtown Royal Oak. The party starts at 10 a.m. Reserve your spot online or call 313-577-2300 for more information. You must bring a copy of the email confirmation you receive.
