Wayne State University will hold a remembrance ceremony on Thursday, Sept. 8 at noon on Gullen Mall, across from the Adamany Undergraduate Library, in honor of the victims and heroes of 9/11.
The event will include remarks by WSU President Allan Gilmour and Student Senate President Kevin Tatulyan; a poetry reading; a musical selection; a flag ceremony by the Student Veterans Organization; and a moment of silence.
A banner recognizing the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11 and signed by members of the campus community will be displayed at the event.
