The Wayne State Warriors football team tied the school record for overall wins in a season and league victories in a year with a 41-27 victory over visiting Indianapolis on Saturday. The Warriors reached eight wins for only the fourth time, matching the marks set in 1975, 1976 and 2008. Their seven victories in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Association has been done only once before, in 2008.
