WSU Law School hosts charity ambulance chase

More than 150 lawyer alumni, faculty and students took part in Wayne State University Law School's 25th annual Ambulance Chase Charity Run/Walk yesterday in the 2.2-mile race organized by the WSU Law School Student Board of Governors. The tongue-in-cheek event is meant to poke fun at the stereotypical image of ambulance-chasing lawyers who solicit business from victims at the scene of an accident or disaster. All proceeds will benefit Cass Community Social Services, a Detroit-based charity dedicated to improving the lives of those in need by providing for basic necessities, including affordable housing.
