New backs gain 326 yards in Wayne State victory

A new crew of running backs from Wayne State's Warriors football team combined for 326 yards rushing and four touchdowns in the season opener 31-19 victory over Northwood University at Adams Field. Junior Josh Renel ran for 192 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries and redshirt freshman Toney Davis ran for 114 yards on 29 carries and scored Wayne State\'s other touchdown. \"I think this is going to be a great year,\" said Warrior coach Paul Winters. "If we keep our heads right, we can be a championship-caliber football team..\"
