The Wayne State University Graduate School, one of the largest graduate and professional schools in the country, will host an open house on Tuesday, July 14, for students and working professionals interested in exploring an advanced degree.

Faculty and staff of the Graduate School will be available from 3-7 p.m. in the WSU Welcome Center, Woodward at Warren Avenues, to review applications, answer questions and provide information about various programs

"The open house is a great opportunity for potential graduate students to meet with representatives from admissions and to learn more about our programs," said Michael Wood, director of graduate admissions. "It is perfect for those who have always wanted to pursue a master's degree or who need one to move to the next level in their professional career. It is an opportunity to learn more about how Wayne State can help them achieve their goal."

Incoming graduate students are encouraged to complete an online application form before attending the July 14 event and to bring copies of transcripts and standardized test scores to provide to academic program representatives.

During the open house session, the usual $50 application fee will be waived for participants on site.

Wayne State University has more than 12,000 graduate and professional students. Applicants can choose from more than 60 doctoral degree programs, 130 master's degree programs and more than 30 certificate, specialist and professional programs.
