He says some developers look for romantic names, such as New England Haven, because they have sales appeal. "We know that certain names appeal to certain groups," he explained. One builder in Redford Township even had a contest, inviting youngsters to come up with a name for a 350-home development. The contest stirred little public interest so the developers eventually came up with their own name, Lexington Village .
