Two special fall activities kick off Wayne State University's calendar of events for alumni and friends for the 2003/04 season.
Both require reservations - call (313) 577-2166 to get a seat.
Pass the syrup and join the WSU Alumni Association outdoors under a huge canopy on Ferry Mall for all the pancakes you can eat, plus sausage links, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. Live music and entertainment highlight this tasty event. Afterward you'll have plenty of time to stroll around the Detroit Festival of the Arts, an exciting showcase of artwork ranging from paintings and photography to pottery and art glass, clothing and woodcarving. There's also a children's festival on Gullen Mall, in the center of the campus.

An evening of hilarity, great food and spirits will be on tap as alumni and friends celebrate the 10th anniversary of The Second City - Detroit. The fun begins on the season's opening night with a reception at Hockeytown Cafe on Woodward Avenue featuring a buffet filled with appetizers and cocktails for purchase. Then just a few steps away we'll enter The Second City theatre for a riotous improvisational comedy performance by the area's hottest up-and-coming comedians.
