New regional transportation authority: pipe dream or practical solution?
The top executives of Wayne, Oakland and Macomb Counties and the city of Detroit have announced intentions to cooperate in forming a new regional transportation authority to provide more efficient transportation. A rapid bus system, possibly combined with light rail, is one possibility that has been mentioned.
