Three-part teleconference at WSU to focus on first-year and commuting students

Faculty, advisors, deans and others who wish to improve student enrollment performance, help first-year students become successful and better engage commuting students may wish to attend a three-part teleconference beginning March 8 on campus.

Sponsored nationally by the University of South Carolina and locally by the Office of the Provost and others, the teleconferences are live, interactive satellite presentations with video inserts.

Entitled "Promoting Student Success," each teleconference -- on March 8, April5 and April 26 -- airs 1-4 p.m. at different sites on campus.

Refreshments will be provided.

The seminars cover:
  • Thursday, March 8: Organizing for Enrollment Management: Keys to Student and Institutional Success. 110 Kresge (Purdy-Kresge Library).
  • Thursday, April 5: Strengthening First-Year Seminars: A Foundation for Student Success. 368 Manoogian (German Conference Room in the Foreign Language Technology Center).
  • Thursday, April 26: Engaging Commuter Students: Redesigning Campuses for the Majority of America's College Students. Bernath Auditorium (first floor of Adamany Undergraduate Library).
