Shefali Godara, M.D., has joined the Wayne State University School of Medicine Department of Internal Medicine’s Division of Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine as an assistant professor.

Dr. Godara joined the department June 3.

She is certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine and Critical Care Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Godara received her medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi, India, in 2014. She completed her residency at the Wayne State University School of Medicine/Detroit Medical Center in 2019, followed by completion of a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at WSU/DMC in 2022. She was named chief fellow.
