Tanaz Salimnia, M.D., has joined the Wayne State University School of Medicine faculty as an assistant professor of Internal Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary Critical Care and Sleep Medicine.
She joined the department April 15.
Board certified in both Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Medicine, Dr. Salimnia received a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Wayne State University in 2011, and her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine in 2016.
She completed her Internal Medicine residency, becoming chief resident, at the WSU School of Medicine in 2020, and a Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at William Beaumont Hospital in 2023, where she was named chief academic fellow.
