Julia Vander Weide, M.D., has joined the faculty of the Wayne State University School of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences as an assistant professor, clinical educator.
Dr. Vander Weide joined the department July 1.
A member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, the Academy of Consult-Liaison Psychiatry, the Michigan Psychiatric Society and the American Psychiatric Association, Dr. Vander Weide served as the behavioral health integration consulting pediatric psychiatrist and senior staff outpatient psychiatrist for Henry Ford Health.
She received a bachelor’s degree in economics summa cum laude from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2012, a master’s degree in biomedical sciences from the University of Northern Colorado in 2013 and her medical degree from the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine in 2017. She completed a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the Detroit Medical Center in 2022 after a residency in adult psychiatry at Henry Ford Health in 2020.
