Jamie Krueger, assistant dean of Enrollment Management for the Wayne State University School of Medicine, has been appointed chief of staff in the Office of the Dean, effective immediately.
Krueger will oversee operations and management of the staff in the Office of the Dean and work with the dean on the School of Medicine’s administrative and strategic initiatives.
She will continue to serve in an interim capacity as assistant dean of Enrollment Management while a search for her replacement is conducted.
“Jamie brings to the position a wealth of administrative and leadership experience,” said Dean Wael Sakr, M.D., in his July 5 announcement of Krueger’s appointment.
Named assistant dean of Enrollment Management in 2023, Krueger provided direction, strategy and oversight of Admissions, Records and Registration, Enrollment, Scholarships and Financial Wellness, and Health Records.
As director of Enrollment Management Services for the School of Medicine from 2015 to 2021, she restructured office systems to improve operational effectiveness, streamline processes and increase recruitment efforts.
Krueger previously served as associate director of Processing from 2013 to 2015 and assistant director of Operations from 2011 to 2013 in the WSU Office of Student Financial Aid.
She received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science in 2007 and a master’s degree in Public Administration in 2010, both from Central Michigan University. She is enrolled in the Doctor of Education in Leadership for Organizations program at the University of Dayton (Ohio).
