The Wayne State University School of Medicine’s Department of Pharmacology will mark its 50th anniversary with a daylong celebration July 26.
The event, scheduled to begin with breakfast at 8:30 a.m., will take place in the Margherio Family Conference Center adjacent to Scott Hall, and will included remarks from WSU President Kimberly Andrews Espy and School of Medicine Dean Wael Sakr, M.D.
“We are very proud to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Pharmacology,” Department Chair Sokol Todi, Ph.D., said. “Our department has made great achievements in our mission to educate students, train scientists and to generate original and impactful knowledge in basic and medical sciences. Join us on July 26 for a day of festivities and to learn more about the past, present and future of Pharmacology at WSU.”
