Abstracts accepted for Medical Student Research Virtual Symposium 2021

Abstracts are now being accepted for the Medical Student Research Virtual Symposium 2021, scheduled to take place Feb. 5.

Student abstracts must be submitted by 5 p.m. Dec. 11.

Submissions, limited to one abstract per medical student, will be collected electronically via Digital Commons. All presentations will be in poster format.

All Wayne State University medical students are eligible to submit abstracts on a research project to which they have made a significant contribution. Students who participated in a Medical Student Summer Research Fellowship in 2020 are expected to submit abstracts of their work.

To submit an entry:

Follow this link to the submission page on Digital Commons.

Click the “Submit Research” link in lower left corner to access the submission form.

Fill out all fields and attach your one-page abstract.

Complete the School of Medicine Student Research Author’s Agreement with your mentor and email to ggilchri@med.wayne.edu. Details on poster formatting, video specifications and upload information will be provided to all presenters upon acceptance to the symposium.

Presentations will be judged by School of Medicine faculty with awards given to the most meritorious presentations in each category during a Feb. 10 awards ceremony.

Abstracts will be published in the Symposium Booklet and online in the Digital Commons.
