Students encouraged to complete a survey about mental health, wellness by April 1

In an effort to improve the mental health and well-being of its students, Wayne State University has launched the Healthy Minds Study, an initiative led by Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). This comprehensive survey is designed to explore students' health needs and support systems, with a focus on refining mental health services.

All students have until April 1 to participate in the online questionnaire, which takes about eight minutes to complete. The survey seeks students' views on group therapy and mental health workshops. Participants will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card. Student surveys can be found online.

The feedback from the Healthy Minds Study will be instrumental for CAPS in tailoring mental health programs to meet student needs and preferences. It will also aid in refining CAPS' marketing efforts to address concerns or stigmas that often prevent student participation in group therapy and workshops. Enhancing the referral process for these services is also a primary objective.
