Nearly 3,400 Wayne State University students have applied for graduation this spring, concluding the university's 154th academic year. The spring 2023 Commencement will feature seven ceremonies over three days on Wednesday, May 3, Thursday, May 4 and Friday, May 5. The Wednesday, May 3 ceremony will include Ph.D. and Ed.D. hooding, and be hosted at the new Hilberry Gateway Theatre, 4715 Cass Avenue. Undergraduate and master’s-level students will participate in ceremonies Thursday, May 4 and Friday, May 5 at the Wayne State University Fieldhouse, 1290 West Warren Avenue, Detroit. Ceremonies will last approximately 90 minutes.
