Wayne State University is celebrating the 52nd Earth Day for the rest of April by recognizing this special day (and month) through a series of activities and actions.
“Earth Day serves as an opportunity to pause and think about just how important the Earth is to us. This is especially true now, as we continue to navigate through a pandemic during which many of us found nature as a release to the anxieties of the unknown,” said Grace Maves with WSU’s Office of Campus Sustainability. “On top of that, we are increasingly seeing and experiencing the negative effects of climate change within our local and global communities. Recent reports demand urgent responses, and there are many great organizations that provide a platform for you to take action here at Wayne State and beyond.”
