Are you passionate about building a more sustainable future? Sustainability works across disciplines to create solutions that reduce waste, protect the planet, and reduce global poverty and public health concerns. Students are invited to apply to compete in a sustainability pitch competition, a collaboration between Wayne State University and the Fred A. and Barbara M. Erb Family Foundation, which will be hosted virtually Feb. 7-12.
During the six-day, hackathon-style event, students will have access to coaches to help complete a sustainability-related case, which will be provided by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE). In addition to a $2,500 prize for first place and a $1,000 prize for second and third place, the event will provide all participants with a MoGo gift card.
The competition is open to all students from WSU, University of Detroit Mercy and Lawrence Technological University. The top 50 applicants will be invited to compete, and invited applicants will be sorted into teams of five to complete a case. Register by Feb. 1 using this form.
