Media advisory: Wayne State University commencement ceremonies celebrate class of 2021, Dec. 13 and 14

WHAT: More than 3,000 students will conclude 2021 as graduates of Wayne State University and will have an opportunity to participate in a series of in-person commencement ceremonies. 

WHEN: The ceremonies will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 13 and at 9 a.m., 2 p.m., and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 14. See below for a full commencement ceremony schedule. Each ceremony will last approximately one hour. Media planning to attend the ceremonies must RSVP by emailing Katie McMillan at katie.mcmillan@wayne.edu

WHERE: The Fox Theatre, 2211 Woodward Avenue, Detroit

SAFETY: All guests will be required to complete the Guest Screener prior to arrival and show proof of vaccination prior to being admitted to the theater. All graduates and guests will be required to wear a mask in the theatre.

STREAMING: A livestream of the celebrations will be available for viewing on the commencement website during each ceremony.
