Wayne State University is conducting the Healthy Minds Study, a campuswide survey about student health and well-being designed to gain a better understanding of students’ needs and sources of support. A random sampling of students was selected to participate. The students received an email on April 19 from Jeffrey Kuntzel, director of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), with an invitation to complete the survey.
The survey — which must be completed by May 14 — asks about students’ current well-being and mental health, as well as perceptions and use of various resources. The Healthy Minds Study is a collaborative project by CAPS and the Dean of Students Office, and the voluntary survey takes approximately 20 to 25 minutes to complete. Students who complete the survey will be eligible for a random drawing for one of 10 $100 WSU Bookstore gift cards or one of 10 $100 prizes or one of two $500 prizes provided by the University of Michigan School of Public Health.
The Healthy Minds Study is part of a broader, ongoing project being conducted by mental health experts at Wayne State University and the University of Michigan to better understand the mental health needs of college students and to further develop and support related resources.
