Campus community invited to connect with students via #WarriorsHear4ForYou

The campus community is invited to join in providing support to students during this time of unprecedented change and uncertainty. As part of the university’s ongoing efforts to make all Warriors feel seen, heard and supported, the Student Success team has launched #WarriorsHEAR4You, a social media campaign designed to build community, connection and morale among students as they progress through the spring/summer semesters.

Faculty, staff and administrators are encouraged to remind students that we are all in this together, and that although information is changing rapidly, the Wayne State community remains Warrior Strong and committed to their success.

Individuals can create short videos sharing words of encouragement, resilience and compassion. Videos can speak to any and all types of students. Examples include, but are not limited to, students who are:

  • Graduating
  • First-generation
  • Parents/caregivers
  • Studying here as an international student
  • Working in essential service jobs
  • Feeling the effects of COVID-19 firsthand

Those wishing to participate can submit videos. When creating a video, please:

  • Leave a few seconds (5–10) of silence at the beginning and end of your video
  • Film your video horizontally
  • Consider wearing WSU apparel or colors to showcase school spirit
