Warriors invited to stay connected, take a virtual lunch break

Dean of Students Office launches virtual engagement program

As Wayne State University completes its first week of remote learning, the university is working diligently to encourage unity and ease stress for Warriors. To help the campus community connect virtually, the Dean of Students Office is piloting the Lunch with WSU program, where students can attend daily chats with Wayne State faculty and staff via Zoom.

This informal lunch will provide the opportunity for students and staff to stay connected, ask questions, learn about a staff or faculty member’s role, or just take a second to have lunch with familiar or new faces while they adapt to the online semester.

Students can drop in via Zoom on weekdays between noon and 1 p.m. Each lunch will last around one hour. Staff and faculty who are interested in participating in Lunch with WSU can sign up to host a lunch hour.
