WDET presents Latino USA: Live from Detroit event March 4

WDET, Detroit’s NPR station, will host a live community event that will focus on the role of Southeast Michigan voters in the upcoming elections.

Hinojosa

Featuring Maria Hinojosa — host of Latino USA and founder of Futuro Media — and Detroit Today host Stephen Henderson, the conversation will take place at the Senate Theater in Southwest Detroit on Wednesday, March 4 from 7 to 9 p.m. The event will be co-hosted by Julio Ricardo Varela, digital media director, founder of Latino Rebels and co-host for the “In the Thick" podcast that will be recorded during the event. Also joining as a guest will be Migladys Bermudez, immigration attorney with Justice for Our Neighbors-Michigan.
 
The public is invited to attend. Tickets are $5 and available at WDET.org/events, along with more information.

Henderson

Latino USA is a popular nationally syndicated weekly radio program that offers insight into the experiences of Latino communities and is a window on the current and merging cultural, political and social ideas impacting Latinos and the nation. Latino USA airs on 101.9 WDET Saturday mornings at 7 a.m. and Wednesdays at 10 p.m. “In the Thick” is a podcast from Futuro Media that examines politics from the perspective of a changing America.
