Wayne State continues to shine a spotlight on fraud

Association of Certified Fraud Examiners International Fraud Awareness Week kicks off Nov. 11 worldwide

Fraud costs organizations worldwide an estimated 5 percent of their annual revenues, according to a study conducted by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).  Fraud takes many shapes and forms, among them corporate fraud, consumer fraud, tax fraud, identity theft and many others.

Wayne State University’s Office of Internal Audit will participate in the ACFE International Fraud Awareness Week, held Nov. 11 through 17, by promoting anti-fraud awareness and education within the campus community.

If you suspect fraud, suspicious activity, misuse or misappropriation at Wayne State, please contact the Fraud Hotline at 313-577-5138. For online reporting, please submit an anonymous tip form. For information concerning Fraud Awareness Training for your department, visit internalaudit.wayne.edu.
