Gerrymandering, Michigan Proposal 2 will be explored during public discussion, Oct. 18

WHAT:

Citizen Dialogue: Gerrymandering II

Wayne State University’s Center for the Study of Citizenship, Patriot Week and Oakland Schools are sponsoring a public dialogue and discussion on redistricting/gerrymandering and Michigan Proposal 2, which will be on the Nov. 6 ballot.

According to the proposal’s official wording, Proposal 2 is: “A proposed constitutional amendment to establish a commission of citizens with exclusive authority to adopt district boundaries for the Michigan Senate, Michigan House of Representatives and U.S. Congress, every 10 years.”
