The 23rd annual Aline U. and James M. Orten Memorial Lecture will feature 2011 Nobel laureate Bruce Beutler, M.D., professor and director of the Center for the Genetics of Host Defense at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

The Oct. 10 lecture, presented by the Wayne State University Department of Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology, is scheduled to take place from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in the Margherio Family Conference Center adjacent to Scott Hall.
