The United States in 1937 was clawing its way through the Great Depression. During that same year, Milton Yarmy (pictured with his wife, Lillian) graduated from the Wayne University College of Medicine — the forerunner of the Wayne State University School of Medicine — as a newly-minted physician with his M.D. degree.
