Detroit Orientation Institute hosts Detroit Dialogue: Spaces for Everyone, March 2

How can community gathering places in Detroit be improved on a community’s own terms? What are the roles of anchor institutions in improving place? How should the public be involved in decision making processes to improve public spaces?

These and other questions will be explored in a small, interactive dinner-time conversation, Detroit Dialogue: Spaces for Everyone, presented by Wayne State University’s Detroit Orientation Institute.

The event’s 15 participants are invited to actively engage in the discussion, where they will be joined by special guests Elliott Broom (Detroit Institute of Arts); Ritchie Harrison (Detroit RiverFront Conservancy); and Rebecca "Bucky" Willis (Bleeding Heart Design and Detroit Collaborative Design Center). The conversation will be facilitated by Jeri Stroupe, senior project administrator in Wayne State’s Office of Economic Development and Detroit Revitalization Fellow. Discounted tickets are available for interested Wayne State students.
