WHAT:
Twenty students from Detroit's Cass Technical High School will tour the Shinola manufacturing facility in Detroit's New Center, learn about their processes for assembling watches, leather goods and bicycles, and hear about their creation of 400 new manufacturing jobs. Students will also attend presentations on 21st-century manufacturing career opportunities from TechTown Detroit and General Electric Advanced Manufacturing. The event is part of US MFG DAY 2015 and is presented by Shinola, TechTown Detroit, Wayne State University and General Electric Advanced Manufacturing.
