Wayne State to welcome students and families during Convocation and FestiFall

Wayne State will welcome incoming students and their family members during New Student Convocation on Sept. 1, kicking off the university’s 148th academic year.

Wayne State President M. Roy Wilson, Dean of Students David Strauss and others will address the crowd during the longstanding campus tradition. Lisa Rapport, psychology professor, will deliver the keynote.

 

FestiFall, an outdoor celebration where students can share a picnic lunch and mingle with deans and faculty members while learning about campus life, immediately follows Convocation.

Details

Convocation will be held at 10 a.m. in the Max J. Pincus Court in front of the McGregor Memorial Conference Center. FestiFall will take place in the Keast Commons/Fountain Court area following Convocation. The events are free for the campus community.
