During the last few days, several media outlets have reported on two local crime stories and identified the people involved as Wayne State University students. In neither case did these people ever attend Wayne State, or have any affiliation with the university.

The university is requesting that if you are reporting a story and someone is identified as being affiliated with Wayne State in some way, that you please contact our public relations team to verify the information.
