Wayne State University experts available to comment on Republican presidential election debates, primaries

Wayne State University offers a range of experts available to help bolster stories regarding the 2016 Republican presidential campaigns and current primary election debates. Please contact Wayne State Public Relations at 313-577-4562 to arrange an interview.  

Kelly Young, associate professor of communication and director of forensics program (competitive speech and award-winning debate teams) - Young can speak to the debates, along with rhetoric, persuasion and argumentation styles.  

Marc Kruman, professor of history and director of the Center for the Study of Citizenship - Kruman can discuss the history of the Republican Party, presidency and presidential elections.

Liette Gidlow, associate professor of history - Gidlow can offer her expertise in 20th century politics, women's history in the political process, and mass culture.
