Flora Hommel: A Labor of Love

Discussion and display highlighting the Reuther collection of Flora Hommel's personal papers. 

Speakers will include: 

•    Former U.S. Senator Carl Levin
•    Claudia Hommel, daughter of Flora Hommel
•    Local historians
•    Reuther archivists

WHEN:
Thursday, July 30 from 5- 7 p.m.
•    Light refreshments will be served

Walter P. Reuther Library located at 5401 Cass Ave., Detroit. 

MORE INFO:
Flora Hommel was one of the pioneers who brought the Lamaze psychoprophylactic method of painless childbirth to the United States, establishing an important teaching organization in Detroit; the Childbirth Without Pain Education Association. She passed away last spring.
