Michigan AHEC hosts celebration dinner on June 5

DETROIT - The Michigan Area Health Education Center (MI-AHEC) will host its first Friends of MI-AHEC Dinner from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on June 5, 2015,  at the Wharton Center for the Performing Arts in East Lansing, Michigan. The event is a celebration of the successful creation of MI-AHEC's statewide network and the kick off for the Friends of MI-AHEC fundraising campaign. During the event, scholarships will be presented to students from across the state in honor of the Wayne State University School of Medicine's former dean, Dr. Valerie Parisi.

The Honorable Brian Calley, Michigan's lieutenant governor, will be the keynote speaker, and television personality Lila Lazarus will serve as emcee. Tickets are $150 per person, $250 per couple. To RSVP, visit events.wayne.edu/rsvp/miahecdinner2015.

MI-AHEC is funded by the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration and Wayne State University.
