Detroit Orientation Institute Hosts Detroit Dialogue: Transit on May 21

What is the real state of transit in and around Detroit today? How are developments like the M-1 Rail and plans for bus rapid transit likely to shape the city and region? What does the rejection of Proposal 1 by Michigan voters in the special election mean for transportation funding and sustainability in our communities?

These and other questions will be explored in a small, interactive lunch-time conversation, Detroit Dialogue: Transit, presented by Wayne State University's Detroit Orientation Institute.

The event's 15 participants are invited to actively engage in the discussion, where they will be joined by special guests Dan Dirks (Director, Detroit Department of Transportation), Megan Owens (Executive Director, Transportation Riders United) and Conan Smith (Executive Director, Metro Matters). The conversation will be facilitated by Graig Donnelly, director of Wayne State's Detroit Revitalization Fellows program.
